What You Need for a Maine State Inspection
Before bringing your vehicle in for a state inspection, please make sure you have the following:

Valid and Printed Registration – You must present a current, printed copy of your vehicle’s Maine registration. Digital copies are not accepted.
License Plates Properly Affixed – Your vehicle must have front and rear plates securely attached (unless it is legally exempt from having a front plate).
Clean and Accessible Vehicle – Make sure your vehicle is clean and free of clutter so technicians can easily inspect safety components.
Failure to bring proper documentation or meet these basic requirements may result in us being unable to complete your inspection.
